We are the directors of Camp Akeela, a co-ed sleep-away camp in Vermont.  Akeela is a small family-like community for boys and girls 9 – 18 who have trouble connecting with their peers.  Most of our campers have been diagnosed with Asperger’s or NLD.

Eric and Debbie Sasson are the founders and directors of the camp, as well as the founders and (sometimes) directors of their 3-year old daughter.

Jaynie Goodbody is Akeela’s assistant director.  She’s a good egg, a very smart cookie and cool as a cucumber.
