Dear Akeela Campers & Parents,
You're probably wondering what your first summer at Akeela will be like. Campers (and especially parents!) may even be a little nervous. That's totally normal. We want you to know that our directors and staff have loads of experience helping new campers make friends and get used to camp life.
In your application process, we learned a lot about your family, your interests and your goals for the summer. We are confident that you will be a good fit at our camp. Between now and when the summer begins, we are always available to answer any questions you may have. Also, keep your eye on your mailbox for newsletters, special gifts and announcements about upcoming camp get-togethers.
Once you get to camp, there are lots of friendly staff members who will familiarize you with the camp and program. Your counselors and other adults in camp will always be there to make your adjustment to camp as comfortable as possible. We go all out to make sure that our campers develop great friendships by sharing wonderful, positive camp experiences.
Can't wait to see you at camp this summer, as we welcome you to the Akeela Family.
